Southwest Water Management District
in West Central Florida
Restricted watering will continue to stress our lawns and reflect poorly on our homes. These mandated restrictions will only worsen over the next few years. This was confirmed in our recent breakfast with SWIFTMUD which will shortly be on our website. Here is a recent quote from the Southwest Water Management District, "Anything that causes you to need more water is unacceptable.'' Tampa Water Chief Brad Beard said, “For us, it's critical that we have enough for essential uses,'' he said, estimating that up to half the city's water goes to irrigation. "This is serious, and we're running out of choices.''
